The committee aims to promote the implementation of RISC-V chips and accelerate the software ecological construction and application commercialization process of the new RISC-V architecture. A press release from the European Linux Foundation states that project members will provide engineering talent and financial support to meet specific software needs outlined by the project's steering committee.

Mark Skarpness, Intel corporate vice president and general manager of systems software engineering, emphasized the critical role of open source software in supporting the development of RISC-V, saying that Intel is pleased to form RISE with other industry leaders to advance this goal.
